Is it a cliche to say that we only realize that we are alive when we are close to dying? On the precipice of the unknown, you start to ponder all you have done, then you ask yourself: was it worth it? Have I truly grasped the notion that we are supremely lucky, all of us, to have lived as conscious beings? In the vastness of space, we may be the only life forms that have developed an intelligence that wonders about its existence. A way for the cosmos to know itself. Yet, the odds are that we are not the only ones. That means, as explorers and wanderers, we have only stepped onto the shores of the cosmic ocean, and there is much to experience
